LANDMARK BOOK: This history of the LGBTQ community is based on the most extensive archive anywhere -- one that Canada is fortunate to have. The book will be a must-have for anyone interested in this story and this struggle.

KINSHIP: While the authors celebrate the improvements in civil rights for the LGBTQ community, they are conscious that other communities still face structural discrimination and repression, so they acknowledge the need for kinship amongst marginalized groups, particularly with Canada's indigenous peoples.
