Pardon me. My cat's on fire

About Pardon me. My cat's on fire

The 'Cat' bundle is a triptych of short pieces consisting of entirely different aspects. The author and his wife owned the renowned Boulders Inn on Lake Waramaug in Connecticut for 15 years. 'Tales from the Inn' are a few snippets down memory lane recounting events, some hilarious, some melancholic. They include the true event in the inn's main dining room that is the inspiration for this bundle's title. Second of the three components, 'Reflective Vignettes', are for the most part accounts of true events. Some date back to the Second World War, its aftermath and subsequent events, while other sections are related to less serious subjects. The author's affinity for all things Ogden Nash will be quite evident from the 35 pieces of 'Whimsical Poetry' that form the third panel of the triptych. The reader should not expect iambic pentameters. This was written solely for perfectly imperfect poetic fun and creating a smile or a grin. If that is the result of this effort, the author will be absolutely delighted and raise a glass of his favorite Malbec to your health.
