A tragic injury forces footballing legend Molly Davison into early retirement. Football is her life and now that she can't play anymore, she embarks on a new path as a coach for Wearside FC.

Captain of the team, Jordan Robinson, is preparing to hang up his boots at the end of the season and after being in the game his entire life, he's having an existential crisis. Not to mention the only woman he's ever had feelings for is back on Wearside, worse still, she's officially off limits.
