Proposal for a Methodology to Publicise Nuclear Technology

About Proposal for a Methodology to Publicise Nuclear Technology

Most people form their opinions through common sense, influenced by the information disseminated by the media, especially when it involves accidents. Normally, the news is broadcast emphasising only its negative aspects in a dramatic way, which greatly expands the space/time scope of the opposite impact of any event caused by anthropic action, i.e. not natural. This is the case with Nuclear Technology which, as a science and technology, suffers the consequences of the two atomic bombs dropped in 1945 on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the accidents involving radioactive material. To this day, the public has serious restrictions on its use because they are unaware of the benefits it brings to society and their opinion is formed by common sense. This work presents a presentation script, as a proposal for disseminating Nuclear Technology to any public, consisting of five stages: Initial Questionnaire; Excerpt from a Video of a report on the accident with a radiotherapy device; Elucidating Lecture; Final Activity and technical information for Interaction in the Nuclear Technology Space.
