Pushing Past the Scars

Theresa O'Neill learned many life lessons growing up Catholic in a suburb of Philadelphia, but she felt that nothing really prepared her for the trials that life was to throw her way. After she got married, her husband seemed distant and tense. Conception was difficult for her due to infertility, but with the help of her doctors, she conceived and delivered twin boys, their "miracle" babies. She hoped her growing family would be the answer to her marriage woes...but it was not. Theresa was faced with several serious medical conditions throughout her life, including cancer. She tried to bravely face each physical challenge along with the growing emotional disconnect in her marriage. After the discovery of her husband's ongoing secret addiction ended her marriage of more than thirty-five years, Theresa's pain consumed her for a long time. Would her faith be enough to help her push past the biggest scar of all?
