"The story is me in the role of motivator, encouraging children to discover their unique talents." His first book, The Irregular Ordination of Preacher Jim, drew heavily on his Southern roots and love of history. The Red Leaf Fable taps into his powers of creativity and imagination. Al is a native Floridian whose life has been equally split between living in small towns and big cities. The experience of residing in those two vastly different environments has provided him with a deep reservoir of characters and materials for future books. He also writes poetry, the first volume of which will be published later this year. He loves golf, fishing, football, and good barbecue.
