For many years, stories and rumours have spoken of those with the Power. Some say it is a myth. Some say it is real. No one with it is ever around to tell their side of the story-they are reported to the authorities and erased from their lives as soon as they start to show the signs.

When seventeen-year-old Brooke Anders starts to show signs of her own Power, she and her brother, Owen, are forced to question everything they thought they knew. Now, the siblings are faced with a daunting choice: turn Brooke over to the authorities? Or go on the run, putting their lives on the line to escape?
Seven years ago, Dawson Rider was ripped from his life and family for having the Power. He was called a monster and forced into a cell. Now, at age seventeen, he has recently escaped from prison, along with his best-and only-friend, Amber Punder. Both are finally free, but with the authorities hot on their trail, will they be able to keep it this way? Or will they be forced to find a new home somewhere else?
