Rowanwood

This is set against the backdrop of the aftermath of the Battle of Waterloo. Sisters Alicia and Jessica Weston face losing their beloved home, Rowanwood, in Sussex to a French cavalry officer cousin fresh from the battle.

While Alicia determines to make the best of a bad situation, Jessica determines to do everything she can to drive him away. But darker forces are lurking, waiting to disrupt all their lives.
