In diesem epistolographischen Werk sind alle Briefe des römischen Redners und Politikers Marcus Tullius Cicero gesammelt und ins Deutsche übersetzt worden. Ergänzt wird die Sammlung durch einige Briefe des deutschen Dichters Christoph Martin Wieland, in denen er sich auf Cicero bezieht.
