Sapho

Cet opéra en trois actes a été composé par Charles Gounod, l'un des grands noms de l'opéra romantique français du XIXème siècle, sur un livret d'Émile Augier, un écrivain et dramaturge français de la même époque. L'opéra raconte une histoire d'amour tragique entre la poétesse grecque Sapho et son jeune élève, Phaon. L'oeuvre est connue pour ses mélodies lyriques et ses dialogues émouvants.
