It is 1943, and 11-year-old Bethany Peterson is stuck at home in Sweetwater, Texas dreaming of her heroes - the Women Airforce Service Pilots who are doing flight training nearby. When one of them dies, Bethany is convinced the crash was the work of a Nazi spy and sets out to prove it.
