About Selection and Characterization of Resistance in Mango (Mangifera Indica L.) Embryogenic Cultures to the Phytotoxin Produced by Colletotrichum Gloeosporioides Penz

Abstract: Using in vitro selection we have shown that mango embryogenic cultures can be selected against fungal culture filtrate and phytotoxin. Such selected cultures showed continued resistance to the causal fungus Colletotrichum and also showed changes in the production of certain proteins that are implicated in fungal disease resistance.
