Shakespeare at Work

It is now accepted that Shakespeare revised many of his most celebrated plays. This study examines the implications of Shakespeare's revisions for his audiences, and describes how the playwright tackled problems of characterization and scene formation in "Hamlet", "Othello" and other plays.
