Shootout in Sendero (Exrangers 8)

The Carston men return as Wash sets out on a two-day journey to rescue one of his father’s deputies after he is accused of murdering a prisoner attempting to escape in this thrilling addition to The Ex-Rangers series. Wash Carston has seen a lot of evil, especially in his days as a Texas Ranger and Civil War soldier, but he’s never seen a town as plain cursed as Sendero. When a message came in on the Twin Rifles’ new telegraph machine two weeks earlier asking for a prisoner to be picked up in Sendero, Marshal Will Carston sent his deputy, Joshua, on the mission. But when Joshua fails to return, Wash Carston must set out to rescue him. When he arrives, Wash finds Joshua locked up in the hoosegow, accused of murdering the prisoner he was sent to pick up as he tried to escape. With problems coming from every corner of Sendero, the only agreeable folks Wash can find are a tough young sharpshooter dying of consumption and a pretty waitress who’s just a bit too friendly…​ As a lynch mob gathers, Wash stands ready to defend his father’s deputy and uphold law and order with a blazing six-gun in hand.
