Silappatikaram

Silapathikaram is arguably one of the best gems of ancient Tamil literature. It is at once an epic poem and a tragic love story that centers around an anklet. Composed by Ilango Adigal probably around the 5th or 6th century CE, Silapathikaram is the earliest Tamil Jaina text known to us so far.
