Simply Advent

From Thanksgiving to Christmas, the holiday season can be such a stressful time of the year. However, there is good news; Advent helps us simplify the chaos by preparing our hearts for Christmas. When we prepare our hearts, we recognize any hustle or bustle should be directed towards this one simple question, "Is this task I am doing preparing me for the coming of Jesus?" This one simple question helps us to recognize what is essential or nonessential on our to-do list. Simply Advent helps you to set aside time in your hectic day to spend some quiet time with God. When you pray and read Scripture, you find your heart is open and ready for God. This time spent in quietness with God will be the most valuable part of your day. You may even notice that your list somehow seems to get accomplished, and your disposition is joyful. Now, I can't guarantee that this study will decorate your house or wrap your presents, but I can ensure that this study will help you find Christ at Christmas.
