We crossed rocky deserts and braved seemingly insurmountable obstacles to skitter here in your kitchen. Some of us rose to be legendary kings of our kind and others were reduced to hiding under the refrigerator and dreaming up crackpot conspiracy theories. We faced different challenges. The Hungry Dark took many. Gordy would lead his followers on an epic journey just trying to bring them home. Yves the Younger had to learn not to live up to his namesake. Hilda was dutiful to the end, and Chi Chi fought the world. Others found the secret to peace and joy. We had awful wars. There were times we were almost wiped out. We persist.
