This selection of evocative images taken by London-based photographer Laura Lewis is the counterpart to Gold Panda's highly acclaimed recent album of the same name. _x000D__x000D_The pair set out to capture the rich sounds, moods and colours of suburban Japan that they had fallen in love with during a trip in 2014. While getting out of a taxi in Hiroshima, the driver gave them the parting farewell of "good luck and do your best"; a rough translation of the Japanese phrase "gabatte, kudasai". Struck by the phrase, this became both the title and the linchpin for the project. _x000D__x000D_Shot on a variety of formats including medium format and 35mm film, the book is a linen-bound hardcover made up of 122 images on 150gsm paper. _x000D__x000D_"I really fell in love with Japan - the country and the people, their hard-working demeanour and the ever-present concept of doing one''s best.
