This book was written for addicts, and those that love them most. It is an inside look at the tumultuous nature of how addiction impacts the user and the waves that the ripple causes for the family.
Hoping to add a perspective for parents and loved ones who believe the addict to be lost, this first person retelling of hitting bottom, going to detox and treatment, and then emerging on the other side is concise yet powerful. Meant to show that when the addiction takes control your loved one is still inside. Often buried under remorse, embarrassment and pain.
