Soulless Saint

I came to this city for a fresh start, but everywhere I turn there are ghosts of my past. Two of them haunt my every step. They're revered as Sainted Kings, but I know better. Kaleb and Hardin are nothing more than ruthless crime lords who rule these streets with bloodied fists and sinister smiles. Now, they rule me, too. They've been tasked with keeping me safe but being under their protection feels more like being held captive...until it doesn't. I swear I don't know when or how it happened, but one minute I'm a chore to be handled and the next I've become an obsession they can't shake.
And worse? I might feel the same way about them. Which is why I can't walk away. Not even when a more dangerous player enters the ring. A man so twisted, so depraved, he makes me want to cling to the evil I know. But choosing to stay could cost more than my heart. It could also cost me my life.
