Spendthrift Time

Celebrations of a young life in its unfolding, the poems in this collection were written by Roger Averill to mark each of his youngest daughter's birthdays from ages three to twenty-one. Often humorous, and featuring the rhythms and rhymes of light verse, these poems remind the reader of the joys and challenges of childhood in general by depicting those of one, much-loved child in particular.
