'Step by Step' is an interactive Language Arts text that teaches writing patterns of the four main genres of composition (description, narration, exposition, persuasion) in which students of Grades 4 - 6, and extension to students of Grade 7, can fit any content and in their various styles of writing. It is the belief that once patterns are learned, writing becomes easier. This text also stresses the importance of the writing process and the foundation of writing any type of composition.
