About Storyline Fever
Storyline Fever tells the many wild and humorous tales of the Investigator, an independent journalist who searches for the meaning of life through character studies on the eccentrics of America. His exploits are done in the name of knowledge and personal growth, as he hopes to gather information to further his experience in life. He frequently is caught in strange scenarios as he attempts to further his well of knowledge and improve upon his situation. The book comprises multiple tales of various individuals and organizations, like the death of a rock band, the life of Alaskan fishermen, and the mental state of a conscientious hoarder. All these tales are connected through the lens of the Investigator and his deconstructionist viewpoint on modern life, leading to a book that soars through both comedy and pessimism.
Storyline Fever is the second novel by novelist and poet Michael Koch, who combines elegant prose with modernity. His characters are wholly strange and unusual, but all offer a broader perspective on the many facets of life. His previous work, Over Pluto, too combined the absurd with the modern. His fixation on identifiably unique characters makes his work overflow with emotion.
