Sustained Beyond the Dying Field is a memoir about the experience of the author as a kidney transplant survivor. Two years after he was diagnosed of Kidney failure on the eve of his birthday on 13 October, 2020, Dr Wale Adeduro shares how God's grace sustained him through the harrowing journey. The book primarily seeks to create awareness about kidney disease that reportedly affects over 20 million Nigerians (about ten percent of the population of Nigerians). Kidney disease affects more Nigerians than diabetes and cancer. Yet, unlike diabetes and cancer, most Nigerians have little or know knowledge about kidney disease until it affects them or their loved ones. The book further provides a support, through ample anecdotes, guides and counsels, for patients of kidney disease as well as their loved ones and care givers. This book, written in a free-flowing style, bears the unmistakable conversational and descriptive approach of the author. Although the subject treated is heart-wrenching, the reader will find it pleasurable to read. Patients of kidney disease who read this book will find encouragement and hope to live longer.
