Svetlana Williamson is a favorite to win the gold medal in figure skating at the 2030 Olympics. Just as she is perfecting her quadruple Axel for the competition, Bulgaria drops her from its team and grants citizenship to a Chinese skater who will take her place. Eligible to compete for Team USA because of her American dad, Svetlana is determined to keep her Olympic dream alive. She accepts an invitation from the Americans, despite mysterious threats that harm will come to her and her family if she skates. Svetlana and her friends arrive in Latvia for the Olympics with high hopes. But when her brother is kidnapped and her roommate in the Olympic Village is found dead, she finds herself entangled in a dangerous international spy game in which no one can be trusted. The former homeless girl will need all of her street smarts and the help of her closest friends to outwit jealous competitors and the ruthless secret agents who are after NATO's most important military secrets. Svetlana must find her brother, unmask the kidnappers and find a murderer if she wants to live long enough to have her moment on the Olympic ice.
