Tacitus: Annals V and VI

Books V-VI of the Annals covered Tiberius' reign from AD29-37. Most of Book V is lost, including the account of the sensational events leading to the execution of Sejanus. However, Book VI narrates fascinating incidents at Rome and on Capri, where Tiberius had retired in AD27. Latin text with facing translation, introduction and commentary.
