Tales from the Block

A collection of short stories centred around the residents of Ernest Fawcett House, London SE1. Their stories depict everyday life in a scruffy tower block in a traditionally poor area of inner-city London. The residents are a diverse bunch united only by their ambitions to survive (if not prosper) in the face of the frustrations, challenges and misfortunes of modern city life. These stories show the richness of life in the Block.
