In a mountain cave in the midst of a fierce Afghan winter, an American Special Forces team discovers an ancient talisman. Recovery of the mysterious stone triggers events that hurl ex-Army Ranger Rick Lowell and archaeologist Beth Harper into a fight for survival against the Brotherhood, a sinister cabal with distant ties to the stone.
