Journalist and financial analyst Joe Ben examines the story of Jay Gould, a colorful businessman from the nineteenth century whose work led to the first Wall Street reforms ever in American Rascal (2022). Joe Ben describes his complicated job in both the training industry and on Wall Street, as well as the conflict between his life as a good father and his financial deceit. Through his manipulation of the stock market and abuse of the financial system, Gould exposed the weaknesses in capitalism and the extent to which they harmed the American economy.
