The Ascension

The Ascension is an ambitious dramatization of the Black experience. Seeking to redeem the respect for and significance of the Black church in American culture and society, it embraces a Christian perspective, as well as plain biblical truth, which arguably influences more of the African Diaspora than recognized. Joseph, a young man troubled and perplexed by what his education has challenged about his culture and the relevance of his faith, is taken on a journey of discovery to recover for his culture and establish for himself an intimate relationship with God.
