The Black Professoriat

Although Black faculty has been present in academy since late nineteenth century, it has been during twentieth century that they have established a presence which has had political, and epistemological implications. This book focuses on Black scholars in academy: they have become tenured and promoted; and been recognized as noteworthy scholars.
