A girl exists within the Dome, which protects her from the monsters preying on all living things beyond its glass walls. Could the outside world be any less damaging than the life of torture she endures in her own personal cage, enduring the casual cruelty of male fantasies?
Why are the monsters drawn to her and what is her own dark history that dictates her destiny? Who is Wendy? Who was Wendy...? Why is she known as their master's 'beloved'?
Wendy goes on the run: the journey is fraught with danger as the girl finds her life lurching from horror to joy to confusion to discovery as she befriends a band of fellow travellers who join her in her search for her true self.
