The Brooklyn Bridge Police Department

The New York City Police Department has a long and illustrious history, but policing in New York City has not been limited to the NYPD. Throughout the history of the City there have been many lesser known, obsolete departments that contributed to the safety of the citizenry. One such Department was the Brooklyn Bridge Police Department. That's right! For a brief period in New York City's history the Brooklyn Bridge had its own police force.
