While the Lane Sleuths are still vacationing on the coast, their cousins run into a mystery right at home in Benton. Nicole, Becky, and Abby are excited about this year's Fourth of July celebration, which will feature the firing of the town's cannon. When a collection of valuable coins dating from before the American Revolution is stolen, the girls set out to solve the mystery, along with their friend, Sharon.
