Teresa stared at the closed casket blankly, unaware of the din around her. Her eyes were dry despite the fact that she wanted to cry. Why would I want to cry? She was a terrible mother. She wasn't even a mother. But she did left behind a secret legacy. A legacy that Teresa cannot escape when she tries to discourage her daughter Madelyn from developing a quirky interest: the study and practice of her deceased grandmother's weird artwork. Their search into understanding the origins of her bizarre paintings lead to the discovery of a murderous cult and the demon they all worship.
