Helen was still reeling from basically being left at the altar by Trent, her longtime boyfriend from high school. She couldn't believe he'd broken off their engagement without giving her any real reason. And to top it all off, her small town Kentucky publishing company was being taken over by a big New York firm.
Coming into town to handle the transition was Carrie, a tall, imposing figure that was all business. The last place she wanted to be was Kentucky but she resigned herself to getting the job done there as quickly as possible so she could get back to her real life in the Big Apple.
A chance meeting at the local lesbian club one weekend would change their lives forever. But, Helen was only there with her friend and claimed to be 100% straight. Carrie was deep in the closet and worried about people at work finding out about her true desires. Nevertheless, that steamy kiss after some fun on the dance floor left them both longing for more of each other.
