Alessia Spencer is alone. Or at least it feels that way.

Orphaned at two years old after her mother, Grace, dies, Lessie has always felt as if something's been missing. That is until she stumbles upon a derelict Victorian mansion hidden deep within the woods of the Sussex countryside known as Lavenhall, and it's brooding owner Monty.

It seems Lessie may have finally found a place that feels like home after all.

That is until one day, Grace opens the door and Lessie realises that everything she thought she knew about her mother's death was a lie.

Convinced that Grace is alive, Lessie's overactive mind starts to spiral as she clutches to the hope that she can finally have the family she's always wanted.

But she might just lose herself in the process.
