Orphaned at two years old after her mother, Grace, dies, Lessie has always felt as if something's been missing. That is until she stumbles upon a derelict Victorian mansion hidden deep within the woods of the Sussex countryside known as Lavenhall, and its brooding owner Monty. It seems Lessie may have finally found a place that feels like home after all. That is until one day, Grace opens the door and Lessie realises that everything she thought she knew about her mother's death was a lie.
