The K-9 Chronicles

We saw a shiny piece of metal leaning against some rubble as we passed by what used to be the front of the building. Maggie and I stopped to look at our reflections. We both weren't dark anymore-my head had streaks all over it. I was sure it was the blood I had tasted in my mouth from before. We both had cuts on our paws and legs. I kept looking into that shiny piece of metal to see if maybe Kate was in it too.
