The Aztecs had many customs and traditions in their culture, which survived thanks to the myths that were transmitted between generations and that belonged to the various divinities that they had established with respect to which they also celebrated ritual ceremonies which served to offer presents to the gods or were executed for the mere compliance with certain norms of tradition.
What kind of religious norms would the Aztecs have? Can the set of customs, rites and myths that the Aztecs had around their divinities be considered as religion? Indeed we can consider that all this formed the Aztec religion. This culture was a town characterized by its great religiosity. Religion is something that rules a person's life. In the case of the Aztecs, religion became a system of life and thought. The life of the Aztec man had a completely religious meaning. In their creed there was the principle that there was a supreme and divine being; it also supposed the existence of an afterlife, and consequently the immortality of the soul.
With these aspects that we have mentioned, we believe that it is enough to consider that the Aztec people had a fairly defined religious vision. Within their beliefs there were several elements that gave them their structure, which we will talk about in greater detail later when studying the rites and myths. The Aztec religion also had its own very peculiar worldview, which will be briefly explained in this text.
