Donald Yates, the author of a dozen books on military history and vehicles, looks at the history of one of the most prestigious ships ever to serve the U.S. Navy, the carrier Midway (CV-41). Yates describes the many successes of the Midway while also discussing some of the less glamorous and tragic events endured by the crew of the Midway. Over 80 photos of the Midway are included in the book.
