Some say they will never accept the loss of a friend or loved one because if they do that means they are letting go of them. To an extent that is true because you will eventually have to let go in order for God to mend your broken heart. We all have to give it to Him - our burdens, our pains, our tears - because we cannot handle them in our own strength. If we are to move on in life, we must accept this shift. Until we accept the loss, we will still be holding on, hoping that this is only a dream or nightmare that will eventually end.
