The Warrior

This fictional short story is about a warrior seeking redemption from his King after a crucial battle with his adversary. Though he had fought many battles in life, this battle was the turning point. Consumed with pride, the warrior and his men were caught off guard as the enemy onslaught had begun. He watched in horror as his numbers dwindled, as his brothers fell to the sword. It was the outcome of this battle that changed the course of his life forever. Could he be redeemed from this outcome to fight again? Would he pick up the mantle of leadership his brothers so desperately needed him to carry? Redemption was possible; but was it possible for him?
