Big-hearted Janie and scaredy-cat Nell return in a spooky Halloween adventure. It's a glorious fall day in Vermont, filled with leaves and pumpkins, when our heroes decide to go exploring. They find themselves in front of the curiously named "Keep Out" manor, where they meet a very frightening creature. Is it a zombie, as Nell has convinced herself? (And can you find him hiding here and there throughout the story?) A chase ensues, but who's chasing whom? Will the duo learn something new about being afraid? Many Vermont locations featured!
