I'm taking you on a deeply personal journey through the hardships of addiction, love, and the never-ending desire for hope. This is so you get to know me better and learn from my errors in judgment. Shane's story is one of grief and perseverance. He wasn't a bad person; he was just a young man suffering from addiction and tremendous self-doubt. My son was bright, with a strong will, but not very understanding. This caused him to make wrong turns and questionable decisions. He had a wonderful heart and was usually eager to help others, but his personal battles were substantial and never-ending. He was a gifted contractor, capable of performing miracles with his hands, but the grip of his addiction was stronger than his desire to fight.
