Trail Tales

Have you ever seen a rattlesnake tied in a knot? How about a thirsty roadrunner, or a puffed up horned lizard? Join our young hero, Scout, as he runs into these and other animals in need while hiking the Arizona Trail with his dad. Lucky for his new animal friends, Scout can communicate with them and help them out of precarious problems. Each of the seven short stories in the book humorously present a principle of minimizing impact when we visit the outdoors. This book can be used as an outdoor ethics teaching resource with its questions to think about at the end of each story. Animal facts are also included for readers that want to know more details about the wildlife presented.
