Trapper and Pray

Three men hear the call from the Nebraska mountains. It beckons to them, and offers the opportunity for a new start and riches. The 19th century frontier lands are far from hospitable. Survival is a day-to-day challenge. The struggle is taxing, and at times overwhelming. But, it represents an opportunity for the men to find their true essence. And live a life that most can only dream about.

The trappers hail from different venues. One is the son of prestigious lawyer fleeing the confines of upscale Boston society. Another is a black man who escapes slavery and oppression in the deep south. And, the third is a rabbi seeking respite from the confines of an oppressive faith.
Amidst the mountain mens' quest, a more far-flung tale emerges. It is the story of a country's struggle to find its own moral compass and embrace the conscience that lives within every man's soul.

Trapper and Pray is the tale of three men's winding path and spiritual growth. And it tells a story of an emerging nation which wrestles to define morality and every man's God-given right to dream and live his individual freedom.
