Three generations of the Barrett family face tragedy and adversity. From a simple cattle ranch and through a minor league baseball career, B.P. Barrett struggles with his anger at God until he reaches a precipice where he is faced with surrendering to Christ or lose his family. His son, Brian, deals with his own doubts and fears in his young life. Battling for his father's approval, and besieged with his own adversity, Brian finds his own path that leads to redemption. Billy R. LaFerney, Jr, has worked in the trucking industry for almost thirty years, primarily as a cross-country truck driver. Billy grew up in Dallas, Texas where much of his family has worked in the trucking industry. He currently lives in Orange Park, Florida with his wife Kimberly and their daughter Charlie Ann.
