Trip Hazard

Having a hot time on their Christmas honeymoon! After a wedding fit for royalty, Maile, Steve and Nancy hit the road for a honeymoon that won't soon be forgotten. Do they go to a lovely beach resort on Maui? Sightseeing on Kauai? Peace and quiet on Molokai? Forget that. They go to the Big Island where adventure and mystery awaits them! No sooner do they arrive than lava begins to flow in the direction of their secluded little inn high in the rainforest. That's not their only trouble. On a hike in the woods, they find a homeless man barely clinging to life while hidden in a swamp during a storm, and rush him to the hospital. It soon becomes apparent that someone tried getting rid of him, and that's when Maile sets aside their honeymoon plans to investigate. But the more she digs for the truth, the scarier the answers become. When the dark forces of ancient Hawaiian spirits tangle with the people of today's world, Maile takes command, and she isn't polite about it! Oh, I almost forgot to mention that Maile has one last little secret to reveal, in between serving turkey loaf dinners, car chases, flowing lava, and dealing with Madame Pele.
