Turcaret

Originally published in 1918, this book contains the French text of Alain-Rene Lesage's satire Turcaret, written in the early eighteenth century. Thompson prefaces the comedy with a biography of Lesage and an analysis of his place in the canon of French playwrights alongside Moliere.
